VELOUR MON AMOUR – INTO THE BLUE PART TWO
Summer is finally here! All of us are dreaming of a vacation by the sea. Today’s entry is for those of us who have to spend the summer at home; Come with us and dive into the fresh and colourful world of Bretz! We will be showing you new fabrics which are as deep and as beautiful as the see! The feel of holiday for your home.

Our Jacquard-Velours “Moss” are a particular delight because of their sheen and pattern. They come in three colour nuances and represent all the different colours of the ocean.

Soft waves are breaking at the beach caressing your feet, the colour of the sea is clear and fresh. Small swirls and air pockets give the ocean a lush shade of blue. Our Jaquard-Velour “Blue Moss” represents exactly that shade of blue. It is the most dominant of our Moss-Velours, which is why we like to recommend it as a cover for sofa arm rests, like for example on Edgy. However, it also looks great on our dining room chair Ohlinda, and it’s a definite eye-catcher as a pillowcase.

You jump to dive, let yourself sink into the cool, dark blue and enjoy the silence under the sea. This mystical underwater world fascinates you and casts a spell over you.
Our velour “Night Moss” mirrors this feeling of a diving trip into the deepest parts of the ocean. Due to its soft gleam and its delicate structure, “Night Moss” is the perfect cover for our Bretz Sofas.

Clear water surrounding a lonely island in the Caribbean? Or a refreshing lake somewhere in the mountains? Our Jacquard-Velour “Sea Moss” resembles both. Because of its distinctive colour, “Sea Moss” can be combined with turquoise and blue, and also looks great in combination with fuller shades of green. It gives variety on grey sofas, for example, as a pillowcase – without ever pushing itself into the foreground.

“Blue Drops” is one of our two Shadow Velours from our range named “Raindrops”. Its cool blue reminds of the vast sea and of exciting adventures on a boat. Through the combination of its intriguing structure and light, the velour takes on a different sheen and can thus always look beautifully different. “Blue Drops” thus has many sides that want to be discovered and adored. Put together with our silky gleaming velvet “Enzianblau” “Blue Drops” currently adorns our new model Edgy – we think they’re the perfect team!

We already introduced our Happy Velvet Velours last year (you may find the blog entry here). Today, we would like to show you our new Happy Velvet “Amalfi”, and also re-introduce you to our already familiar Happy Velvets “Dark Cyan” and “Powder Grey” in a new context.

Imagine all the beauty of the ocean on Italy’s Amalfi Coast as a Velour. Got it? That’s our “Amalfi”, which does not only shine because of its breathtaking shade of turquoise, but also due to its typical Happy-Velvet-fabric structure. That’s what gives the velour its special charm. Turquoise stands for the connection between the heart and the soul and creates emotional balance. And what better way to reach said balance than taking a few strokes trough the refreshing ocean of the Amalfi Coast? We did name our new Happy Velvet “Amalfi” for a reason.

The need to see the sea and what we can do to fulfil that need even if we have to stay at home (more about that here), are reflected in our “Dark Cyan” velour. The waves of the South Pacific break on the coast of Hawaii and break away into a thousand nuances of turquoise. The sea breeze carries the taste of salt and that is when you realize: this moment is yours alone. This feeling of complete and utter contentment and relaxation is mirrored in our Happy Velvet “Dark Cyan”. It has the power to take you from the woes of every day life back to the coast of Hawaii, so that all your worries are forgotten.

The Happy Velvet “Powder Grey” is a shade of grey mixed with a hint of blue, because of which this velour has a less formal, mundane, restrained or even sober look to it. Its soft blue undertone lends this velour an exquisite and smart touch. Due to its slight silver gleam, depending on how light hits, the velour reminds us of the angry sea we know from summer storms off a rough cliff coast.

The second velour that we would like to introduce to you today is also named after a place: Curaçao, which is a small island in the Caribbean Sea close to the coast of Venezuela. And its the perfect namesake for our high-pile velour “Curacao”. You can feel yourself sinking into it like you would into the Caribbean ocean, because “Curacao” has such a high-pile. But it is also super soft on the skin and has an amazing sheen to it which makes our high-pile velour so precious. We also think that its the perfect companion for “Blue Moss”!
